Academic and Professional Qualifications:
Tan Sri Dr Ismail received his Diploma in Public Administration from the National Institute of Public Administration (INTAN) before attaining a Bachelor of Economics, B.Econs (Hons) in Applied Economics from the University of Malaysia. He earned his Masters of Business Administration (MBA) and Ph.D from the University of Hull in the United Kingdom.
Work Experience & Positions:
Tan Sri Dr Ismail began his career as the Assistant Secretary, Contract and Supply Division in the Ministry of Finance (MOF) before joining the Anti Narcotic Task Force as Assistant Director. He then served in the Economic and International Division as Assistant Secretary. Following this, he was the Principal Assistant Secretary for the Public Finance Section. In 2004, he was appointed Head of Planning, Research and Policy before becoming the Head of Section, Government Procurement in 2006. He then served as the Senior Advisor to the Executive Director (SEA Group) of The World Bank, before joining the Ministry of Defence (MOD) as Deputy Secretary General (Policy). He was then appointed as Director of the National Strategic Unit, MOF and as Director of National Budget, National Budget Office, MOF. Tan Sri Dr Ismail then served as the Secretary General in the Ministry of Transport and in the Ministry of Agriculture and Agro-Based Ind., as well as Secretary General of Treasury, MOF. He was then appointed as Chief Secretary to the Government of Malaysia

Faris graduated with a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) from Sheffield Hallam University in the United Kingdom in 1995. He then obtained his Masters of Laws in International and Commercial Law from the University of Sheffield, United Kingdom in 1997.

Faris began his career with the Kuala Lumpur Stock Exchange (KLSE) in the Policy and Development Division in 1997. He then joined AmMerchant Bank as a Compliance Manager in 2003 before joining Kumpulan Guthrie Berhad as Manager in the Corporate Planning Department in 2005. In 2008, Faris became Vice President for Plantation Upstream in Sime Darby Plantations before joining downstream operations as the Head of Sime Darby Foods & Beverages Marketing in 2014. His last position in downstream operations was as the Head of Customer Solutions for Sime Darby Oils before becoming the Regional Chief Executive Officer (Sabah) of Sime Darby Plantation’s upstream operations from 2019 to 2020. Faris joined Kulim Berhad in 2020. He is currently the Managing Director of Johor Plantations.

Shamsul graduated with a Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Chemistry from Imperial College in London, England. He obtained his Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Islamic Finance from the International Islamic University, Malaysia and is also a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) from the CFA Institute in Charlottesville, Virginia, USA.
Work Experience & Positions:
Shamsul began his career with Shell Malaysia as a Planning Analyst in 1994 before joining the Boston Consulting Group in 2000. He later joined Grenland Malaysia as the Vice President of Finance and Special Projects in 2004. In 2007, he was the Executive Vice President of Strategy and Feasibility in Iskandar Investment Berhad before joining Iskandar Waterfront Holdings as the Special Officer to the Managing Director in 2011. He was the Director of Fikiran Sepakat Sdn Bhd in 2014. Shamsul joined JCorp as General Manager prior to his appointment as the Chief Investment Officer in 2017.

Dato’ Sr. Hisham started his career with Harlow and Milner of Wakefield, England before joining Antara Construction Sdn Bhd in 1983. He later joined University Technology Malaysia and played a prominent role in the development of the Department of Quantity Surveying, Faculty of Built Environment. He was the Chairman of the Royal Institution of Surveyors Malaysia (Johor Branch) and a member of the One Stop Approval Centre of Majlis Bandaraya Johor Bahru.

Currently, Dato’ Sr. Hisham is the Managing Director of ARH Jurukur Bahan Sdn Bhd, which is one of the largest quantity surveying practice in Malaysia. Abdullah earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of the Pacific, California before attaining his Master’s of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Washington in Seattle, USA.
Work Experience & Positions:
Abdullah started his career with KPMG in 1988 and was a Partner in its Audit Division from 1997 until his retirement in 2020. From 1993 to 1995, he was seconded to KPMG London to focus on the financial services sector. He has over 32 years of experience in servicing clients from various industries including oil palm plantations, Oil & Gas, banking and finance, construction and property development, hotel and hospitality, manufacturing, industrial products, trading, investment holding companies as well as large multinational companies. He was also involved in reviews of prospective financial information for purposes of IPOs, right issues and bond issues. He has significant experience in due diligence reviews in connection with the proposed composite scheme of arrangement and restructuring scheme. Abduallah is a member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants and the Malaysian Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

Fawzi joined the Executive Scheme of Service in 1974 of Kulim Group and was initially posted to Ulu Tiram Estate. He has attended various courses held by the Rubber Institute of Malaysia (RRI).
Work Experience & Positions:
Fawzi was transferred to the Plantation Division at Ulu Tiram Estate as Senior Assistant Manager in 1980. Later, he was then seconded to a subsidiary company of Kulim and established an infrastructure for Yayasan Pelajaran Johor (YPJ) from 1985 to 1988. He was transferred back to manage both Ulu Tiram Manufacturing Company Ltd and Ulu Tiram Estate in 1988 to 1989. Fawzi then joined Austral Enterprise (a subsidiary of Island & Peninsula) in 1989 and subsequently made Planting Advisor in 1991. He established and spearheaded the Plantation Division for YPJ in 1992. He was the National Vice Chairman of the Incorporated Society of Planters and State Vice Chairman of the Royal Johor Planters Association. He owned 51% equity in YPJ Plantation Management Sdn Bhd and liquidated his shares upon his retirement from YPJ Oil Palm Estates Sdn Bhd in 2013. Currently, he conducts advisory services for plantation visits for an established GLC plantation company.

Fazillah started his career with Bank Bumiputra (M) Berhad (BBMB), and was assigned to Securities Capital Market in the Funds Management Treasury Division, Kuala Lumpur. He was transferred to BBMB’s London branch as the Head of Capital Market Trading Department in 1984 before being transferred to BBMB’s New York branch to rectify the operational problems due to receiving a cease and desist order from the Federal Reserve. Fazillah joined BBMB Securities Sdn Bhd as a Manager in 1992 before moving to K&N Kenanga as a senior dealer in charge of international clients. He later joined Charles Bradburne Berhad as a General Manager of the Trading Department responsible for institutional and international clients in 1994.

Li Lee completed her professional qualification from the London School of Accountancy in 1983.
Work Experience & Positions:
Li Lee began her career as a company secretary with the Kuala Lumpur Commodity Exchange in 1990 before joining the Kuala Lumpur Stock Exchange in 1994. At Bursa Malaysia, she held 12 diverse roles across a range of departments including market, infrastructure and policy development, brand management, research, regulatory development and information services. From 2013 to 2017, Li Lee was the Director of Securities Market in Bursa Malaysia where she oversaw the management of Issuer Development, Market Development, Investor Development, Information Services and Customer Care Services. During this time, she was instrumental in launching the FTSE4Good Index. Li Lee’s last role with Bursa Malaysia was in 2018 as an Advisor, appointed to champion Sustainability. Since April 2018, she has been an Advisor to EquitiesTracker Holdings Bhd and was appointed as Non-Independent Executive Director of ET Smart Wealth Sdn Bhd in October 2022.

She went on to join FIMA Securities Sdn. Bhd. as Vice-President of Research until 2000 and was the Managing Director of Sal’s Food Industries Sdn. Bhd. from 2001 to 2011. Norita became the Chief Operating Officer at Malaysian Global Innovation & Creativity Centre (MaGIC), an entity under Ministry of Finance Malaysia mandated to enhance global startup and entrepreneurship for the nation in 2014. She was appointed as CEO of iA Solutions Sdn. Bhd., a digital company member of theiAGroup, from 2017 until early 2019 before spearheading TFX Islamic, a trade receivables digital platform, till 2021. She was also Independent Director at Hup Seng Industries Berhad from 2000 to 2022. She was also the Chairman of Audit for the same public listed company for several years. In 2022, she established Kitaran Tabah, an ESG specialist focusing on Carbon Credit, as a Founding Partner.

Vinie joined Malaysia Airports Holdings Berhad (MAHB) in 2010 as Corporate Finance Manager and was later appointed as the General Manager of Corporate Finance, Investor Relations, Treasury & Business Advisory in 2014. She was instrumental in the treasury management, fund raising and investment transactions of MAHB group, which have won numerous prestigious awards from the esteemed RAM Rating, Euromoney, Triple A Asset Award, International Financing Review and Alpha Southeast Asia for best transactions and innovation in finance. In 2016, she became the Chief Financial Officer of Astro Productions (a subsidiary of Astro Malaysia Holdings Berhad) and was responsible for the overall financial and management of the company. She then took a commercial and strategy role as the Vice President of Strategy & Commercial where she led the company’s strategic and business initiatives. From 2020 to 2022, she was the Group Chief Financial Officer of Cenergi SEA Berhad with primary responsibilities in the financial management and operations of the group, including financial reporting, tax, business control, treasury and corporate finance. At present, she is the Chief Investment Officer at Leader Energy Holding Berhad, overseeing the investment and finance strategy area. Vinie was named the Best Investor Relations Professional for Transportation Sector in Asia (Sell side) and Best Investor Relations Professional for Industrial Sector in Asia (Sell side) by Institutional Investor All-Asia Executive Team in 2013 and 2015 accordingly.

Yami joined Kulim Berhad as a Cadet Planter in 1990. He was seconded to Damansara Forest Project (PNG) Pte Ltd in 1996 and promoted as a Manager in 2004. He became a Regional Controller of Sindora Complex in 2011 and Tunjuk Laut Complex in 2014. Later, he was seconded to PT Wahana Semesta Kharisma, Indonesia from 2014 to 2016. He then headed Kulim Pineapple Farm in 2017. Yami is currently the Head of Plantation Operations at Johor Plantations.

Amran brings with him vast experience in Human Resources Management at operations and strategic levels from his previous employment at the Prime Minister’s Department, Toyota Group, Nestle, and several GLCs. He joined Kulim as Head of Human Resource Division in 2017. Later, he seconded to JCorp in 2020 to head the Group Human Resources before he resumed the same position at Kulim in September 2020. He is currently the Head of Human Capital of Johor Plantations.

In 1997, Wan Adlin obtained his Bachelor of Engineering degree in Chemical Engineering from Vanderbilt University, located in Nashville, Tennessee, USA. In 2002, he further expanded his knowledge by acquiring a Diploma in Palm Oil Milling and Technology from MPOB (Malaysian Palm Oil Board). Wan Adlin pursued higher education to enhance his managerial acumen, completing his Masters of Business Administration (MBA) in Operation and Manufacturing from Wawasan Open University (WOU) in 2018. Additionally, he attained the First Grade Steam Engineer Certification from the Department of Safety and Health in 2003, showcasing his proficiency in this field.
Work Experience & Positions:
With over two decades of experience in Palm Oil Operation spanning Malaysia, Indonesia, and Papua New Guinea, Wan Adlin possesses extensive industry knowledge. His professional journey commenced in 1997 as a Cadet Engineer at IOI Corporation Berhad, where he steadily climbed the ranks to assume the position of Mill Manager in 2004. Subsequently, Wan Adlin transitioned to Kulim (Malaysia) Berhad in 2005, serving as a Mill Manager.
In 2009, he ventured to Cargill Tropical Palm, Papua New Guinea, as a Mill Manager, and continued in this role until 2010. Following that, Wan Adlin joined Keresa Mill Sdn Bhd in Bintulu, Sarawak as their Mill Manager in 2011. Afterward, he rejoined Kulim Berhad at the close of 2012, assuming the role of Senior Manager for Sedenak Mill. In 2017, he assumed responsibility as the Head of the Engineering Department, and in 2019, he was promoted to the position of Deputy General Manager.
In 2022, Wan Adlin assumed the role of General Manager and Head of Sustainability and Innovation at Johor Plantations, further emphasizing his expertise and dedication to driving sustainability initiatives in the industry.

Maziah started her career with JCorp as an Executive in 1993. She was appointed as Deputy Manager of the ICT Development Division in 2000 and was promoted to Manager in 2006. She was later seconded to Sovereign Multimedia Resources Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary of JCorp before returning to JCorp in 2014 as Deputy General Manager of the ICT Development Division. She left JCorp as General Manager of the ICT Development Division before assuming her current role as Head of Digital at Johor Plantations.

Suhaila holds Bachelor of Law (Hons) from Universiti Teknologi MARA and Chartered Islamic Finance Professional (CIFP) from INCEIF. She was admitted to the Malaysian Bar in 2002 and the Brunei Bar in 2010.
Work Experience & Positions:
Suhaila has 14 years of experience as a private legal practitioner focusing in areas of corporate, commercial and Islamic finance, and 6 years of experience as in-house legal counsel, prior to joining Johor Plantations. Between 2002 to 2016, she worked at major legal firms in Malaysia and Brunei Darussalam including as a corporate partner of Skrine, a Kuala Lumpur based legal firm. In 2016, Suhaila joined Iskandar Investment Berhad as a Senior Vice President and Head of Legal. She joined Johor Plantations as Head of Corporate Services in February 2023 before assuming the post of Head of Governance in May 2023.
